Policies and Procedures

Drum Labs company policies are set up to help clarify important questions regarding payment, attendance, and scheduling. We aim to provide excellent instruction, and take our jobs seriously when it comes to teaching percussion. We do our best to keep consistent schedules and respect the clients’ time. We expect clients to likewise respect the time of our teaching professionals and adhere to the following policies.

Monthly Lessons – 4 Half-hour Lessons per Month

  • Payment
    • Clients must pay with a credit or checking card.
    • Clients agree to have their credit/check card on file charged the monthly fee at the beginning of each month. At that time, the client reserves four half-hour scheduled lessons.
  • Attendance
    • Clients agree that their lesson fees pay for the reserved time with the instructor. The student is expected to be there. If the student does not show up for the lesson, there will be no refund or rescheduling.
    • If a student is sick, they are expected to contact Drum Labs as far in advance as possible. The Drum Labs instructor will allow make-ups for up to two last-minute sick days per calendar year.
    • On occasion, an instructor will need to reschedule lessons. This will be done through email in advance. Instructors are not perfect, and on rare occasion they make scheduling mistakes. If this happens, the lesson will be made up.
    • On occasion, Drum Labs will hold masterclasses that take the place of the weekly lesson. If a client is unable to attend the class, they can make up the lesson at the instructor’s discretion. Students are expected to make every effort to attend masterclasses.
  • Discontinuing Lessons
    • If and when clients decide to discontinue lessons, they agree to notify Drum Labs at least two weeks in advance of the upcoming month. This allows instructors to fill the time slot with another student. If the client does not notify within this time frame, they will be charged for the upcoming month of lessons.
